Westview California Scholarship Federation, Chapter 1276 S, is one of the oldest and the largest student organization within Westview. Ever since we were founded in 2002, we've held steadfast to the belief that every student has the ability to reach their full potential and deserves to be recognized for that. Our mission is to support and celebrate the achievements of our members, fostering a community dedicated to personal growth and excellence.

At Westview CSF, we strive for excellence not because it is a means to an end, but because it is a means to a new beginning. Nothing becomes better without effort. It takes commitment, work, and most of all perseverance to better the lives of ourselves and those around us. Westview CSF seeks to embody these ideals throughout its members.
OUR HISTORY
The California Scholarship Federation (CSF) was first proposed as a state-wide organization to honor outstanding high school students by Charles F. Seymour in 1916. Although initially met with resistance, Seymour’s persistent efforts led to the founding of the CSF in 1921, with 29 charter schools joining immediately. The organization was officially incorporated in 1930, providing it with the legal framework to operate as a recognized entity within California. Over the years, CSF has gradually expanded its influence and operations, establishing chapters across the state and creating new traditions such as the CSF lamp pin and tuition scholarships for Life Members.
Today, with over 1500 chapters encompassing the majority of California high schools, CSF continues to promote academic excellence and community service among high school students. The organization has evolved to include regional student branches and offers a variety of awards to recognize academic achievements and service. CSF remains dedicated to motivating and educating academically talented students while encouraging them to contribute positively to their communities.
Westview CSF is just one of these chapters. Founded in 2002 with Ms. Loo as our Executive Advisor, Westview CSF continues to uphold the values and intention of CSF. Over the years we've greatly expanded and evolved, crossing the hundred member mark in 2005 and growing to three hundred members by 2009. Though much has changed in our twenty years of existence and many a member have come and gone, our purpose remains clear: to be the best honor society in Westview.
